How to Prep for Your First Podcast (So You Actually Sound Good)
Updated: Jul 16

The best podcast episodes usually aren't the ones with the fanciest gear. They're the ones where the host showed up ready. Here's how to be that person for your first session with us.
Before the day
Know your angle — one sentence on what the episode is about beats ten minutes of “let's see where it goes.” A loose running order is plenty; a full script usually isn't.
Send us the brief — the 5-minute brief you fill in when you book tells us your format, guests and goals, so the room is set up before you walk in.
Line up your guest early — confirm the time, send them the address (15 Brickfield Road, Salt River), and let them know roughly how long you'll need them.
On the day
Arrive a few minutes early — settle in, grab water, get miked up without rushing.
Talk to each other, not the mic — the gear is handled (multi-camera, up to 4 mics, proper lighting). Your only job is the conversation.
The part people forget
Silence is your friend. Leave a beat after a good answer instead of jumping straight in — it gives the edit room to breathe and makes you sound more confident than filling every gap.
Everything is backed up the same day, so once you're done, you're done. No “did we lose that?” panic on the drive home.
Ready to record? Book a session and we'll take care of the rest!
